Privacy & Storage

This page describes the COMICWORLD application as shipped. It is a static browser game: scoring runs on your device. The application has no account system, payment form, advertising code, analytics tracker or server-side answer database.

What stays in your browser

Local storage normally remains until you or your browser remove it. Session storage ends with the tab session, subject to browser session restoration. Private browsing or blocked storage can prevent saving. These records are not automatically synchronized to another device.

The application does not set tracking cookies or transmit your answer records to an application server. Someone with access to your browser profile may be able to read saved progress.

Homepage visit counter

The homepage sends one cookie-free request to increment a shared visit total on each load. Repeat visits count; this is not a unique-person count, and automated requests may be included. Counting began October 5, 2026, with no historical total added. The counter stores only an aggregate number, not IP addresses, visitor identifiers, answers or individual visit records. Delivery providers may still process request information as described below. If the counter is unavailable, the game continues normally.

Shared results are not private

When you choose to share, the site creates a URL containing an encoded result, including information needed to reconstruct the fictional reading. The link can reveal your code, world, story and related result details. It does not require your name.

Anyone with the link can open, copy, edit or forward it. It can appear in browser history and in the systems where you paste it. Result links are not encrypted, authenticated or server-verified; their checks detect certain damaged links, not deliberate forgery. Removing local progress does not revoke a shared link.

Requests and hosting logs

Your browser requests pages, images, scripts and media from the host serving this site. As with other websites, that host or its delivery provider may receive IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and timestamps, and may keep access or security logs. Result details included in URL query parameters can also reach the host. This browser application cannot control or erase those logs.

No external AI service is called while you play. The stories and visual assets are supplied with the site; your choices are scored locally, not sent to a model for analysis.

Remove saved progress or preferences

Use your browser’s site-data controls to clear storage for this site. This removes saved quiz answers, story progress and preferences; it does not delete copies of links already shared. You can also reset the full quiz within its interface or start a new Quick Play round. To silence media without clearing progress, use Sound & intro → Disable all effects.

Scope

This is a description of the application’s data behavior, not a promise that a hosting provider keeps no logs. If the operator adds accounts, analytics, forms or other services, this notice must be updated before those features go live.
